Multidimensional Percussive Sculpture
This work unfolds in the treatment of the unconscious of the percussive action. It is a kinetic-eukinetic study that investigates the "negative" phase (neuromuscular level) and the "shadow" (psychomotor level) of the drummers stroke in the bodily gesture, where the percussive image is formed, constituting the structural evolution of the drummer's kinesthetic mind.
How is the percussive image created, or where does it originate? What happens in the unconscious when the body strikes within a "sense of time"? It is the percussed space where the percussive image is created, or is it the mental percussive image that creates the experience of the conscious percussed space?
The piece is a kinetic inquiry into that hidden territory. A journey into the "mathscape," where a dynamic network of motion, neuro-sensation, and unconscious processes regulates perception and action.
Navigating the chaotic bodily space is a form of "noise." How is it composed and integrated into percussive time? How does it influence and affect our experience of the world?

Since its creation in 2005, this work has served as a foundational pillar of my long-term percussivist practice, a hub for drum fitness and psychoneuromotor research. It is a kinesthetic and eukinetic study of the drummer's body-mind network. The piece congenitates the inner, complex motion of the percussive body with the nervous system's memory of the emotional content within the flow of movement. It imprints and self-regulates motion from the level of the deep connective tissue (fascia), thereby generating a mirroring effect in the viewer (via Mirror Neuron System function). This process completes a full "percussophant" experience—a shared, philosophic-percussive state—between performer and audience. In 2018, I created and adapted the work to finalize the III Compositional Matrices in my drum ensemble laboratory POLLOCK tambores pintores.
