TALLER ABIERTO [procesos composicionales]® (founded 2017, Mexico City) extends my artistic practice through creation-research performance centered on improvisation as composing. It explores sound as language, emphasizing sensory-aural perception, expressive communication, and collaborative learning within an open-ended [compositional process]. The work fosters sensory engagement, self-discovery, and the transformative potential of sonorous act experience in both performance and education, or even better, performance as an educational in living moment act. Operating through a creation-research performance space laboratory, within the format of improvisational stays, consisting on rehearsal sessions mediated by investigative and structural improvisational work unfolding through critical and consciousness dialogues; creating the environment–medium/milieu– for the cultivation of experiential awareness, perception and cognition, leading to emergent new open work-in-process. This introspective practice deepens the body-mind connection and the creational instrumental play within a transdisciplinary space—integrating mindfulness, philosophy, science, history, and critical thinking. By embracing reinvention and interconnectedness, the [compositional processes] sustains a dynamic collaborative field for self sonorous act exploration.
