4 Estaciones de Vida en 24 Metáforas
2006-2007
This is a piece composed of 24 haiku by Issa Kobayashi and inspired by Kurozawa´s film Dreams. Is a very narrative work integrated by series of short poems for extended drum-set percussion and live poetry, telling the Japanese poet metaphors as reflective moments on the human seasons of life: spring, summer, autumn, winter. For celebrating the joy and mysteries of living. Each little piece has its own character and explores different states of emotion and animistic content within Kobayashi´s poetry. The entire 24 haiku were conceived in 2006 for solo percussion and voice, then in 2008 dance became part of the work.
Performance with dance at Museo de Historia Mexicana, Monterrey, México. 2008
